GPS CURRENT INTERRUPTER CP 410
Synchronized GPS current Interrupters are used to carry out ON/OFF surveys, CIPS, and DCVG.
The CP 410 can be programmed for any time requirement as well as for continuous cyclic intervals in days, hours, and/or minutes
The CP 410’s timers are controlled by GPS satellite time which guarantees perfect synchronizing of ON/OFF times among all interrupters being used.
The CP 410 allows for synchronous interruption with EXTREMELY short ON/OFF values (tenths of seconds).
The CP 410 optimizes work performance through automatic satellite re-synchronization of units, thus avoiding manual adjustment of equipment.
Ideal for Close Interval Potential Surveys (CIPS), the CP 410 is also the most appropriate unit for any survey on Cathodic Protection equipment that requires ON/OFF interruption.
The CP 410 has two types of programming which enables work to be carried out continuously (24/7)) OR within a set time frame (for example, from 9 am – 5 pm) so that the rectifier cycles only when necessary.
The CP 410 can be ordered with or without an internal key, however the unit includes a connector for solid-state relay with MOSFETS output.
A variety of external or internal interrupter switches are available according to customer requirements.
Characteristics:
Input
- Three power sources:
- 100/240 V, 50/60 Hz, Monophase network
- 0 AH Maintenance free battery included.
- Charge time: 10 hrs.
- 12 V external battery connection.
Range
- Internal battery included.
- While connected to external source of power, the CS 410 can operate indefinitely.
- The unit includes a low battery cutoff which increases battery work life.
Synchronization
Synchronization is carried out autonomously through a GPS plaque. The processing system produces delays and user programmed trigger edge changes. This indispensable quality allows for compatibility with other brands of interrupters.
User Interface
4 lines x 20-character display plus 4 function keys make configuration of the survey parameters to be tested easy and fast.
Programming
The CP 410 includes an internal calendar which allows for the programming of day, hour, start, and finish, as well as survey cycle times, trigger ridge and delay.
External key
MOSFET ouput mounted on a dissipator ensuring low temperature increase to high currents.
Various models of external keys are available in function of voltage and current requirements, where maximum current values are 200V and 100Amp
Mini-Synchronized Current Interrupter - ICS 3
Designed especially for galvanic systems or for impressed current systems with current below 3 Amps.
Each unit can be used as a stand-alone unit, or as Master or Slave for a group of synchronized interrupters.
Due to its design and size (approximately 3 1/3” x 3” x 2”), this unit can be flush mounted, fitting easily inside Curb Box test stations.
Accessories are available for set-up on different types of flush-mounted test stations (ordered separately).
The unit can be ordered with a different ON/OFF cycle than the standard 8 seconds ON and 2 seconds OFF.

- ON Time:8 seconds; OFF Time: 2 seconds.
- Output: Solid state relay.
- Maximum current: 3 A RMS.
- Maximum voltage: 30 V.
- Input: 9 Volt battery.
- Expenditure: 6 mAh (approx.).
- Each unit can be master, slave, or stand-alone.
- Synchronizing pulse: 50 ms.
- LED Low battery indicator.
Impedance Adaptor HI-Z
The HI-Z was designed to minimize method error associated with structure-soil potential monitoring.
The HI-Z model has a DC current input channel with appropriate impedance inputs and ranges for measuring and monitoring internal high resistance current sources, such as a structure-reference electrode potential measurement.
Use of the HI-Z is particularly recommended for high resistivity environments such as sand, rock, and/or arid zones, or in continuous monitoring systems where not only minimization of measurement error is needed, but also where the reference electrode life must be conserved.
The measurement channel is furnished with a low pass filter, which reduces the output of AC inference present in its input.
The HI-Z has dual power source inputs, enabling the device to function from 20-50 DCV as well as at ≈ 110 ACV (conventional electrical network). The capacity to use both sources decreases the probability of losing service during a power outage.
The measurement channel offers galvanic insulation with regards to the power source. Due to this, it is possible to monitor different lines using devices powered from a single source with no risk of erroneous reference linkage between the channels measured.
Specifications:
- Input impedance: > 100 Mohm.
- Measurement range: -8 to 8 VDC.
- Dual power source: 20 to 50 VDC and ≈ 110 VAC (separate terminals).
- Input and output low pass filter protection.
- Channels per device:
- Bandwidth: 0-16 Hz.
- Maximum allowed input voltage: 200 VDC.
- Maximum output current: 10 mAh.
- Dimensions (approximate, for mounting track): 3.5”x3”x2.5” (90x70x60 mm).
- Weight (approximate): 12 oz (350 g).
- Operational temperature range: 14 F to 131F (-10 to 55°C).
- Maximum relative humidity: 90%.
